Sir John Kingman, our Chairman, announced the winners for the 2016 Chairman's Community Awards on, Wednesday 11 January 2017, at an awards ceremony held in One Coleman Street, London.

Peter is an Age Uk Home from Hospital helper, a trustee for Asthma UK and a fundraiser for The Stroke Association

Emma has gone to extraordinary lengths to support Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff

Charity Fundraiser – Deborah Simons

Deborah who supports Birmingham Dogs Home & Cherished Gowns has knitted over 200 sets of hats & boots last year!

Community Champion – Mark Hughes

Mark volunteers for Over the wall camp for children with life-limiting illnesses

Community Spirit – Rob Jones

Rob volunteers for Radio Glamorgan a Hospital Radio Service to University Hospital Wales

Community Spirit – Helen Robinson

Helen volunteers for Mountain Ash RFC Mini and Junior Section rugby

Helping Hands – Sean Conboy

Sean volunteers for the Birmingham Support Group for the homeless one night every week

Helping Hands – Jade Lownsborough

Jade won a Chairman’s Award for her work with Safe foundation & volunteers around India, Africa and Wales

Inspiring Young People – Neel Shah

Neel has won a Chairman’s Award for his work with the Special Yoga Foundation for children with special needs
